"We insist on giving all clients an unconditional satisfaction guarantee:
If, when the work is done, you do not feel that the full value was received,
then you decide how much it was worth and pay only that (if anything).”

HR Professionals: Are you looking for a better way to develop your Leaders than time consuming 'classroom training' courses?

If you are like most HR Professionals you have an interesting dilemma. You are responsible for finding new ways to develop busy Leaders in the business. However most Managers tell us they find traditional 'classroom training' to be time consuming, impractical, lacking follow through and providing no measurable results. Sound familiar to you? What most Managers and HR Professionals tell us they want from their Leadership Development programmes is this;

  • Fast: Is not time consuming for me. I can develop 'at work, on real work'
  • Practical: I can see how I can use this straight away in my role and with my people
  • Measurable results: I can see on a monthly basis the progress I am making and I can  see the numbers at the end
  • Research proven: Methods based on proven results get my buy in
If you are like most people you have seen that the old classroom methods no longer work for busy, time poor Managers. They need fast, practical methods that help them get results while at work.

The method we use is called Feedforward Coaching. It is based on research done with over 8,000 Leaders at 8 global companies. It is used as the Leadership development tool with some of the busiest, smartest, most sceptical Managers in the world. It is the used at companies such as Dell, Toyota, Goldman Sachs and Boeing. In New Zealand we have successfully used this method with Simpson Grierson Law, Meridian Energy,  KVB Kunlun and Yellow Pages.

Feedforward Coaching: Helping you Managers succeed in real time is a 7 step process

  1. Each leader receives a confidential feedback report of their current strengths and weaknesses
  2. With a coach or mentor (and HR feedback) they select 1 or 2 key areas to improve. These should have a significant impact on their Leadership performance.
  3. They choose 5 people to be their internal Feedforward coaches.
  4.  On a monthly basis they ask for Feedforward ideas from their Feedforward coaches (positive suggestions on how they could improve in their chosen areas).
  5. They meet with their external coach/mentor once a month to create an action plan and keep them following through (they give their coach 'nagging rights').
  6. At the 3 and 6 month mark we measure their improvement in results and feed these results back to the Manager and the business.
  7. Having learnt the method we then help the Manager create a plan to continue their development with out needing a coach
Please browse the website to read comments from Managers and HR Professionals who have used this process. If you want to find out more about how this method can complement what you are currently doing with your Leadership programmes, please get in touch and tell us about your situation.

Managers: Do you have a team you want to develop?

Are you responsible for a team that you want to improve over the next 6 months (both the results they get and the way they work together?)  Do you want a custom tailored plan for your team that they will buy into and execute over the next 3- 6 months? How big could the impact be for you and the business if you really got your team working well?

Tools to Handle Heavy Workloads

This programme was designed in response to the overwhelming feedback I heard from staff I was meeting that they were buckling under the weight of the amount of work they had to get done . This led me to a 12 month worldwide search of the research and best practice methods for dealing with massive workloads. I was looking for what my clients wanted: the tools and methods that were the fastest, most time efficient and practical to help them deal with a heavy workload. For the first 6 months I personally trialled all the tools myself to eliminate any time consuming, weak or impractical ones. There were plenty that were eliminated. The ones that survived were the fastest, strongest and best. Then I started training and coaching clients on how to use them. This further clarified what worked best for people. Finally we pulled the best tools together into one succinct package (90 mins - no messing around ) . The feedback and response from people has been overwhelmingly positive. Read some of the comments on the right from participants.

The Modern Workers Dilemma

  • Too much not to do, enough time
  • Feelings of overwhelm and disorganisation

Best Practice Tools Session

  • Based on the methods taught to executives at Google, Microsoft and GM.
  • Practical, Simple
  • Takes no extra time for people to implement
  • Can be used immediately after the session

6 Best Practice Tools for Getting Things Done

  1. Clear up Y our Work Station: How to tidy up your work area so that it stays tidy forever
  2. The '2 minute rule': How to clear all your 'pebbles'
  3. Batching:   Getting your 'next actions' sorted
  4. The List of 2: How to get your work done before 10am
  5. Parkinson' s Law: How to use this principle to do get things done fast
  6. Feedforward: A method for getting ideas from others in the room on how they deal with specific workload issues.

How it works

  • A 90 min workshop which is a combination of new tools and conversations
  • For people who want help to implement the method at their workstation, they can have a follow session to help them implement.
  • How to Handle Heavy Workloads is part of a coaching programme people can choose to follow up with. The coaching helps people to implement and follow through to hold them accountable for ingraining their good new methods.

Why we are different - what you'll get from us and no one else

  1. Let's start with Your Money Back Guarantee:  It's not fair that the client takes the risk and consultants take none.  So we put our money where our mouth is.  If  you don't think you got value you pay only what  you think it was worth.  Period.
  2. Proven, measurable results:  After all, that's what you care about, isn't it?  We can offer our guarantee because our results are proven.  But don't just take it from us - read what businesses such as Yellow Pages, Deloitte, Ricoh and others are saying ( see testimonials ).
  3. Practical solutions:  Not theories, not models.  Everything we give to you is designed to be used immediately, at work, on real work issues.
  4. The biggest improvements for the least effort: We're picking that you want the most impact for the least time and effort.  Therefore we'll find the two or three levers with your people that will bring about the biggest improvements for the least effort.  It's the 80/20 principle!
  5. Custom-tailored:  Because your situation is unique, your programme will be unique.  Designed for you and tailored for your people and your issues.
  6. We implement it for you:  You are already busy enough so we are not going to tell you what to do.  Together, we will work out what the strategy and then we will implement it for you (with your support - of course!).
  7. Respect from your peers:  Clients say that other managers and the competition start to take notice when you start getting results with a team that is focused, committed, motivated and happy to be there.

"We are now delivering far more strongly than we were. We’ve introduced an online platform which should have taken 18 months but we did it in 9 months. There is no way we could have achieved our goal if we hadn't used the programme to sort out the team."

I have never worked with a method that was so simple and yet effective at getting results. I knew Nick's coaching method was a great process, but it wasn't until I actually experienced it first hand that I realised how powerful it could be. It was amazingly quick.

I would rate Nick as the best coach I have ever worked with (and I have been a coach myself for the last 10 years & ran my own business in this field) He is always about 'You' and what is important to you. Nick cuts to the chase extremely quickly & ensures there is total commitment at the end of each coaching session.

The team has matured and is taking responsibility and ownership of their business.. Productivity has increased 100 percent. People are now coming to me with solutions - or at least ideas about what to do. The team is more professional, doing more planning. We all now have a common set of standards and language that we have all bought into and all understand.

Meridian Energy

After 4 weeks of using the ‘Getting Things Done’ method I am much more organised than I used to be.  I used to be constantly thinking about what I had forgotten or what I should be doing. Now I am clear about what I need to do and how I will do it. I no longer get bogged down reading emails and wasting time. Now I just read them, act, and move on. The method has put so much more rigour into my day.    It has definitely reduced my stress. And the best part is that I have now have a clear desk.

Sharon Rusbatch,

Projects Administrator,

Meridian Energy

It was certainly worth the effort. I'm now in control of my inbox for the first time EVER!  ie its been empty all week. Although I still look at things as they come in, (which is habitual for me) at least I now deal with my email much more effectively. It’s amazing how easy this is when there are only ever a handful of things in there. Still a mammoth effort required on my cupboard but confidence is high given the new method you have given us.

I have never worked with a method that was so simple and yet effective at getting results. Initially I was thinking that Nick's method was a great process, but it wasn't until I actually experienced it 1st hand that I realised how powerful it could be. It was amazingly quick. I was surprised to achieve the results we did in only 1 hour. I came out feeling much more positive and confident in my approach. That is exactly the outcome I need to be able to pass onto my Sales Managers. Using Nick's coaching method I know that I can.
